Yes! They did it!
The vendors managed to sell out Cafe Art's 2014 calendars
(apart from a few that we're keeping back as samples/promotion). That's almost 3,000 calendars. Woo Hoo! They worked their socks off over the festive period - come rain, shine or wintry conditions, weekdays and over the weekends. And always a smile on their faces!
Where do we start with our thank you's, apart from the vendors themselves? Well, humongous thanks go to:
Also, a very special thank you to Del Barrett of The Royal Photographic Society
who kindly provided us with an excellent space at Charing Cross for our pop-up photo exhibition of the winning shots from the calendar in December!
But most of all, YOU, the general public who believed & supported the calendar and its meaning, and bought them, either direct or on-line. We shall be sharing the vendors' stories and what your support meant to them shortly.
Enjoy the images and reflect on their stories in the calendar for the next 12 months. Thank you again!
Maya and Lenny manning the calendar stall at PricewaterhouseCooper's offices at the Embankment. Thanks to all the staff who stopped by to chat to us, and who also bought a calendar!
Just in case you don't know what 3,000 calendars look like! This was the lot stored in the warehouse by our printer, Printhouse Corporation, at NW10 in October. You helped the vendors shift this entire lot in just over 8 weeks. Thank you!
Thank you to all the supporters and general public who came round to view the winning shots in a special pop-up exhibition held at the Underground Gallery, Charing Cross from 11th to 17th Dec 2013. This would have have been possible without the generosity of Del Barrett of The Royal Photographic Society (London Region)!
