Screen Shot 2014-11-01 at 15.36.33From humble beginnings less than a year ago, Cafe Art is pleased to announce our second international art exchange exhibition. We are truly excited to be partnering once again with fresh art in New York, as well as welcoming the artists and staff from HomeGround Services in Melbourne, Australia in an exchange of artworks to show a solidarity of our mission to highlight the visual art of marginalised people in our cities. We are committed to raising public awareness and recognition of these artists’ work and talent, as well as promoting art as a tool for personal expression, creative growth and positive transformation. Our aim is to invite a new international city to join us each year. So if you happen to be reading this half way round the world and want your artists to be part of this growing family, then please drop us a line! Each of the 3 cities from three different continents will be showcasing 6 pieces of visually exciting works of arts drawn by their artists in the host city. For example. New York will be exhibiting 6 pieces drawn by Melbourne artists and 6 pieces by London artists. The exhibitions in Melbourne, New York and London will be held over the months of November and December. Details can be found in the poster. Admission is free - so there's no excuse for not being part of this unique experience. And if you manage to get to all 3 exhibitions, drop us a line with some photos, and you'll receive a very special prize 🙂 Thank you to the following London artists who are taking part this year: For Melbourne - Aranxta, Stuart Bleasdale, James Gray, Aaron Little,  Tagzee and Tuesday; For New York - Michael Crosswaite, Mateus, Stuart Perkins, Neville Ramchaitai, David Tovey and Chris Wilson.)   (Top to bottom: 'They look like rockets’ by Tagzee (London) , ‘Johnston Street, Collingwood’ by Michael West (HomeGround, Australia) and ‘Life in this beautiful city’ by Ruben Lopez (fresh art, New York))
