Cafe Art will benefit thanks to Welsh clothing company howies® who have donated four incredible wardrobes which are being auctioned now on ebay! The wardrobes were created in 2003 by four top UK illustrators for a point-of-sale campaign to display a range of organic tee-shirts. When the campaign was launched they featured in displays in Selfridges and boutique shops across the country. Carter Wong Design (CWD), who came up with the campaign, said they "looked to the world around us for inspiration; sourcing fourteen abandoned and unloved wardrobes and using these to form the basis for our point of sale idea. Mental Health Awareness Week aims to change our understanding of mental health problems, promote mental health and encourage recovery. For this year, the St. Mungo’s Broadway Camden Mental Health Service organised an outdoor event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week 2015 (themed 'Mindfulness') where service providers, clients, the local community and everyone involved in supporting their clients can come together. Cafe Art's Louise Danby chose two moving photos to be exhibited in the London Photo Festival in the Crypt of St George's The Martyr, Borough High Street later this week. It's hard to believe that Louise has only owned the camera for a few months, purchased with money earned through the MY LONDON calendar sales. The theme of the exhibition is architecture and street photography and London Photo Festival kindly sponsored Louise's entry by waiving her fee. Thanks Emma and Kitt!
