Between Saxons and Shakespeare

Cafe Art exhibition in Somerset House this month With Saxon ruins, separated by perspex, below us and the Shakespeare's Will exhibition opening above us, we felt very much a part of London last night as we opened the latest collaborative Cafe Art Home Is Where The Art Is exhibition in the lower ground Archeology Room of King's College London's The Dickson Poon School of Law in Somerset House. From artists who attend art groups for people affected by homelessness, including St Mungo's, Crisis, SHP, 240 Project and Art Fitzrovia, the special private viewing was with the artists and the King's College London's student-led Hot Chocolate Society. The Hot Chocolate Society was established to raise awareness of homelessness within the King's College student body through advocacy initiatives and regular outreach sessions. The exhibition has been produced with Cafe Art as part of The Dickson Poon School of Law's Visual Arts Programme, providing a creative space for students, staff, alumni and the wider community. The exhibition has limited access, but we are organising two visits this month. Why not see the Shakespeare Will exhibition at the same time? email info@cafeart.org.uk to book a tour of the Home Is Where The Art Is Exhibition (note that there is an entrance charge to see Shakespeare but our exhibition tour is free)
  1. Thursday 11 February, 3pm
  2. Thursday 25 February, 3pm
