...... for the public vote of the Cafe Art MyLondon 2017 calendar! After a record-breaking number of people from even more homelessness hostels and day centres taking part this year, the judges had a difficult time choosing the top 20 photographs (out of nearly 5,500+ images submitted) for inclusion in the public vote which is now live. Our public voting booth has already popped-up at Mindshare, Christie's South Kensington and The Fulcrum, Liverpool Street this week. What comes after a hat trick?

Easy! It's the very talented Mr Chris Wilson. After many years of living in the streets and prisons of the USA, British-born Chris was extradited back to the UK in 1998. Since becoming drug and crime free in 2001, he gained a First with Distinction from the Chelsea College of Art and Design. His work has been shown in galleries in London and the South East of England, including pop-up exhibitions with Cafe Art. He has told his almost unbearable life story in his first book ‘Horse Latitudes’ which received many rave reviews, as well as at book reads. You can read more about this amazing artist on the links here and here. We are truly...

Richard Fletcher has been drawing since he was 10, and now prefers a pointillist style in ink. His subjects are varied - basically anything that captures his imagination. He has been sleeping rough for a number of years and art has always been close to his heart, and he paints at Art Fitzrovia. We are pleased to say that we managed to include a piece of his wonderful works entitled 'Wild, Wild Horses' into the current exhibition at King's College in Somerset House. Its inspiration comes from a collective statue in the Fontaine de Obsenatorie in Paris where he lived for 2 years back in the late 1980s. Thank you, Richard, for sharing your talent, and of course...

You've been to the Conference. You saw the artworks. You met up the artists. Now own a piece of the wonderful artworks ... That's just what David Allen, David Williams and The Faculty of Public Health did when they were at the Brighton Conference. They loved what they saw as well as the meaning behind each piece, and the artists responsible for them. Their believe and big-heartedness in the simple ethos behind what Cafe Art stood for led them to invite ROL and Tendekai back to their offices at St Andrews Place W1. They even put together a surprise 'breakfast spread' for everyone too - thank you! Both David's are now the proud owners of Mr Bond (canvas and...
