Camera Café is the first and perhaps only venue of its kind, offering a unique combination of specialist photographic retail and a cool urban café.
The Museum Street store started in 1999 as a coffee shop, we were struggling with bills for a couple of years so my brother started selling cameras from his own collection of cameras at first, as well as keeping the coffee shop. Somehow, business got better which i think was mainly due to our unique concept and regular customers started to build up, many of whom still visits.
At the present moment Camera Café offers a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and chow-meins, hot and cold beverages, a function room for meetings as well as free wi-fi for customers while the camera shop side called "Aperture" offers a range of Nikon, Canon,Hasselblad and Leica plus other medium / large format cameras and accessories. Aperture also offers a mail order service. Film processing / scanning is now available at the "new Aperture" 27 Rathbone Place London W1.
"Camera Cafe is a well kept secret but you’ll soon want to tell everyone you know. Spend a lazy afternoon perusing the shelves of vintage cameras whilst sipping a delicious honey latte – this place is not to be missed!"
