Every year we run a photography contest with people affected by homelessness. The theme is My London.
We handed our 105 single-use cameras on 1 July and the participants had 5 days to take photos. The resulting exhibition is chosen by the participants – they choose five photos each.
A panel of professional photographers from The Royal Photographic Society, FujiFilm, Amateur Photographer magazine, The London Photo Festival, and members of organisations with an understanding or homelessness including Homeless Link choose the 20 main exhibition photos which are voted on by the public in the first week of August.
The calendar is chosen by the public and produced by the participants. This year the 2017 MyLondon calendar will be launched on Kickstarter on 11 August and when it’s published in Spitalfields Arts Market on 10 October.
