2013 MyLondon exhibition (and 2014 calendar)

One hundred single-use cameras where given to people affected by homelessness by Cafe Art with the support of The Royal Photographic Society at St Paul's Cathedral in July 2013.

The contestants had five days to take photos of My London and the exhibition and calendar was chosen from more than 3,000 photos printed.

The photographs below were chosen for the 2014 Cafe Art calendar. The sale of the calendar earned vendors more than £12,000. £6,000 was also earned for the photographers and the art groups from which the participants belong to, with the remaining sales earnings helping to pay all the costs including the printing of the calendar.

  1. I admit that one of the places where we can see a lot of subject could be found in the streets. During college we have given also a same set up where we able to took some photos from ranging from street children to beggars up to vendors and more to mention. All I can say is there are lot of stories behind each photos.

    • How true, and thank you for your comments! We are currently finalising the logistics of the next photo contest for the 2015 calendar. It will be held in early July, with the support of The Royal Photographic Society. Looking forward to seeing some more great photography from these artists, along with their amazing stories …..
