Goska Calik

Arriving in London Goska became homeless when she lost her job due to illness. After sofa-surfing for several months she was finally directed to Crisis where she was helped to find a place to live. Goska was taught photography by her father in Poland. She also went to Cardboard Citizens, a homelessness support organisation where she participates in photography as well as dance, forum theatre and creative writing. She is now employed again and keeps in touch with the RPS photography mentoring group.

Caption on back: Goska Calik took this shot featuring St Paul's Cathedral reflected in a window of a building in the area known as Bankside on the south side of the Thames, with Blackfriards Bridge in the centreground. Goska is a member of the Cafe Art RPS Photography Mentoring Group and has been involved with the MYLONDON project for many years.
