Shenan Chandler
Shenan has taken several winning photos which are cards in addition to the Paraqueet Whisperer. In 2024 and 2025 she has been an official judge of the annual MYLONDON photography contest, helping to choose the Top 25 photos. She is an active member of the Cafe Art RPS Photography Mentoring Group run by volunteers from the RPS.
Parakeet Whisperer, Kensington Gardens. Shenan Chandler took this shot in Kensington Gardens. A regular visitor to the park, the man who is feeding the parakeets was also feeding squirrels who climbed up his legs and took food from his pockets on their own. The urban legend about the wild parakeets in London is that they were first released into the wild by Jimi Hendrix in the 1960s.
