Popping up a Second Time

Happy 2nd birthday, Pop-up Painting! (L-R: Tagzee, Phyllissa (holding the iconic 'gift', Ray of Light, David and Geraldine)

Not known to rest on her laurels, Phyllissa Shelton, Founder of Pop-Up Painting, celebrated her company's 2nd year of growth by throwing a birthday cum fund-raising event the other night. Like the previous year, she decided to share the evening with Cafe Art. Thank you, Phyllissa! As you know by now, Cafe Art won't be able to exist without the artists. They represent Cafe Art, and so it was important that some of them joined in with the celebrations too. Phyllissa and her army of painters quickly turned the evening into a mesmerising one for the artists as they, and guests, were treated to a fascinating talk on Art Deco with a quiz and raffle thrown in. On top of that, there was a silent auction of beautiful art drawn by Pop-Up Painting to help raise funds for Cafe Art. One of our artists, David Tovey, kindly donated one of his prints too.We can't end the night without us showing our sincere gratitude to Phyllissa and Pop-Up Painting. What better way then to present her with one of Tagzee's iconic metallic signboards made out of recycled cardboard. We're really glad she liked it as it brought tears to her eyes

Thanks, Tagzee, for another job well done, and to Pop Up Painting for their continued support. Special thanks too to Jeffrey Eade for being the photographer for the evening. We look forward to another success year ahead for Phyllissa and her Team ....
